Antoine O'Neill house

This house is on South Main, across from the Bolduc house.  It’s back yard more or less adjoins the yard of the McArthur (Ratte-Hoffman) house.  A photo of it is in “Ste. Genevieve, A Leisurely Stroll Through History” by Bill and Patti Naeger (page 104) in the section titled “Anglo-American Vernacular Heavy Timber Frame”.  Other than that, I couldn’t find any references to the house or to Antoine O’Neill.  From local gossip, it is privately owned but the budget for its rennovation didn’t last as long as the rennovation project.  A sad but familiar tale.

Antoine O'Neill house, built about 1810.
